Polaroid
The Best Things Take Time To Develop.
Problem: People are used to everything being done and updated in an instant and are lacking patience.
Solution: We remind people that the developing of a Polaroid is part of its magic.
Execution:
At Grand Central Station, Polaroid would set up a pop-up where there would be Polaroid cameras and Polaroid members who will take people’s photos.
There will be some backdrops and props as options for photos as well as the ability to take a regular photo with no backdrop. The backdrops and props are there to inspire creativity within the photos, and, just like a Polaroid, to make each one unique and memorable.
The Polaroid camera will then eject the negative with Polaroid’s iconic white frame customized for this special pop-up experience. The negative would be given to the people photographed and they would be told to look up at the screens.
The Polaroid cameras taking the photos would be connected to the screens and the screens would display the photos at approximately the same rate as the Polaroid in your hand.
The two screens in Grand Central Station. The screens are easily visible from the main concourse.
Showing how the visual would start more faded (as shown on the left) and will develop at the rate of a Polaroid into the final Polaroid (as shown on the right)

In SOHO, a similar pop up would be taking place, utilizing a special Polaroid Photo Booth and a nearby digital billboard.
Accessories
For a limited time, Polaroid would begin selling “develop” pins. These pins would be reminders for people to let things develop and see where life goes. Reminding them that sometimes the wait is worth it and the best things take time to develop
